The basic version of the home jersey used by the Romanians during the European Championships in Austria and Switzerland in 2008. Romania found itself in an extremely difficult group. Their rivals were the teams of the Netherlands, Italy and France. The team led by Victor Piturca performed quite well, finishing third in the group with two points.
