Georgios Koumantarakis' match shirt from his time at Preston North End (Jersey comes from the away match against Sheffield Wednesday 01.03.2003). The South African striker of Greek origin joined Deepdale Stadium in the winter of 2003 from FC Basel.
Koumantarakis only managed 10 games in that league campaign due to a serious knee injury sustained in a friendly against Madagascar in late March 2003. The tall striker managed to score three times in those 10 games.
Koumantarakis was a participant in the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan. He appeared in all group stage matches at the tournament.
Shirt is in very good (-) condition for its age. The only flaw is a slight trace of the first three letters, which were originally misplaced by the kitman., Official First Division font and patches from the 2002/03 season.
