At that time, the club led by Hernan Torres took only 11th place in the Opening League (Torneo Apertura), but in the Closing League (Torneo Finalizacion) it was ranked second and reached the final of this phase of the season losing to Independiente Santa Fe (2-3 on aggregate).

Shirt commemorates the club's 100th anniversary and is called "Tradicion". The jersey has a lot of interesting details referring to the history of the club. We will find, among others, the first coat of arms of Independiente Medellin from 1913, the "D100" logo (referring to the abbreviation DIM - Deportivo Independiente Medellin), or two slogans "DIM Una Familia De 100 Anos" (on the collar) and "DIM, Un Equipo Del Pueblo " (on the back).
